Deep Groove Ball Bearing
They have low friction and are optimized for low noise and low vibration which enables high rotational speeds. They accommodate radial and axial loads in both directions, are easy to mount, and require less maintenance than other bearing types. These bearings are especially well suited to high axial loads.

Deep groove ball bearing is the most commonly used rolling bearing. Bearings’ structure is simple in design, non-separable, suitable for high and even very high speeds and are robust in operation, requiring little maintenance, mainly be used to bear radial load. Compared with the same size of other types of bearings, this type bearing’ s friction is small, but limit speed is high.
Deep raceway grooves and the close conformity between the raceway grooves and the balls enable deep groove ball bearings to accommodate axial loads in both directions, in addition to radial loads, even at high speeds. Deep-groove bearings have higher load ratings for their size than shallow-groove, but are also less tolerant of misalignment of the inner and outer races. A misaligned shallow-groove bearing may support a larger load than the same sized deep-groove bearing with similar misalignment.
Deep groove ball bearings’ cages are mostly steel sheet stamping wave cages, and the larger bearings are mostly vehicle metal solid cages. This kind of bearing are also availed both in open design and sealed design. Seal’s way of the bearing: RS: contact seal on one side of the bearing, 2RS: contact seals on both sides of the bearing, Z: shield on one side of the bearing, ZZ(2Z): shields on both sides of the bearing. And bearing with -RS seals have better sealing but lower limited speed compared with the bearing with -Z seals.
Deep groove ball bearings mainly in 6000, 6200, 6300, 6400, 61800, 61900, 4200A, 4300A series, etc. According to the nominal outside diameter size of deep groove ball bearings, they can be divided into:
(1) miniature bearings ---- below 26mm;
(2) small bearings ---- 28-55mm
(3) Small and medium-sized bearings ---- 60-115mm
(4) Medium and large bearings ---- 120-190mm
(5) Large bearings ---- 200-430mm;
(6) Extra-large bearings ----greater-than 440mm.
